About The Book
A Brush With Death by Fiona Leitch, Still spinning from the hustle and bustle of city life, Jodie ‘Nosey’ Parker is glad to be back in the Cornish village she calls home. Having quit the Met Police in search of something less dangerous, the change of pace means she can finally start her dream catering company and raise her daughter, Daisy, somewhere safer.
A Brush With Death by Fiona Leitch, But there’s nothing like having your first job back at home to be catering an ex-boyfriend’s wedding to remind you of just how small your village is. And when the bride, Cheryl, vanishes Jodie is drawn into the investigation, realizing that life in the countryside might not be as quaint as she remembers…
With a missing bride on their hands, there is murder and mayhem around every corner but surely saving the day will be a piece of cake for this not-so-amateur sleuth?
There are some types of books that it doesn’t matter what’s your mood or your surroundings, you know that they will keep your mind entertained and will leave you with a good taste; this is the case of the Nosey Parker Cosy Mystery Series.
If you’ve read previously some cozy mysteries, you’ll know that the characters are normal people, like you or me, and they are so lucky that they find mystery everyday in their surrounding neighborhood and family. So it’s easy to feel connected with the characters and the story, easy to read and a mystery that keeps you guessing all the book. With these days; school closed, covid tests… They keep me reading for hours and hours and make me disconnect. I don’t think I can’t ask for more, do you?
I have to say that it’s not really a nightmare getting married if you want to get married, if you don’t or someone tries to stop you, this is another different thing… This will be the first case of Jodie ‘Nosey’ Parker, an ex-detective that now looks for a more peaceful life… but there’s always mystery surrounding her… Why?
This is a book full of humorous yummy food and some twists to keep the reader glued to the story, believe me it’s worth the read! But be prepared to be hungry at the end of the story, there are so many tasty dishes explained that I couldn’t stop looking for photos on the net!
This is the first book of the Nosey Parker Cosy Mystery Series and I loved it so much that I am looking for the next book that will be published on Friday! ?
