Things become more complicated when a disturbing video reveals two more trainees, Matthew Gerard and Stephen Baines, have been taken. What initially appears as a random kidnapping for mercenary gain soon evolves into something far more complex. The horrifying events of thirty years ago motivating the abductors and having colossal implications for those in the present…
Against a backdrop of sleaze, sex, lies and murder in The Abduction, Maddy and Carver must work together to unravel the truth, and ensure that no crimes—past or present—are left unpunished.
My Thoughts About “The Abduction by A. A. Chaudhuri”
The Abduction by A.A. Chaudhuri, Who doesn’t love a good thriller? I’ll say from the beginning that I “read” this story from an audiobook, and I loved it! Full of twists and interesting characters it was impossible to stop listening.
This is the second book from the series ‘Kramer & Carver.’ Believe me, they are so good that starting from the beginning will only double the fun. Because who doesn’t love a good lawyer, Madeline Kramer, who has a magnet for trouble? She thinks her life has returned to a peaceful tranquility at a top law firm when some armed men enter to kidnap two workers…
Things are not “easy” as they seem. The case will take a turn when some things from the past are mixed in the case. Don’t worry, the best of the best are working the case. There will be deception, turns and lies… but the truth will be revealed, believe me.
I have to say that I really liked the characters of this book. Madeleine and DCI Jake Carver have chemistry together and they make the story more interesting and with a human touch.
I can’t wait to read (or listen to) a new adventure from these two characters. I am sure their new adventure will be amazing too.
