Sometimes, seeing the wrongs from the past makes us change the acts from the present, this is a story from the present that has a mystery from the past.
This is a sweet story, Amelia is happy in Paris but after receiving some news she has to return to her childhood home, Meadow Farmhouse. She is not ready to face her past but the discovery of an old picture will make her wonder about her family and their secrets…
I loved reading this book, it was like being part of the story, the characters are an important part of the story and they make the book real, a community and friendship; of course there’s a mystery that’s part of the book, it just makes the book more interesting and addictive! I enjoyed how Amelia tries to discover who really her aunt Vera was, I could understand that when she was young she simply accepted the way she was, but now, as an adult, she needs to know who was Vera and why she changed so much. If you are looking for a book to dig in and unable to stop reading this is your book, easy to fall in love with the story and the characters, and make us realize how everything around us can make us change without even noticing it.
